Sweet poison!

JAMA, Sept 3, 2019 : Study of almost half a million individuals in Europe definitevely showed that consumption of all soft drinks is associated with markedly increased mortality.

Specifically, consumption of artificially sweetened soft drinks was positively associated with a higher risk of deaths from circulatory diseases.

The sugar-sweetened soft drinks were associated with deaths from digestive disorders.

Sweet dreams, and have a glass of water on me!

"Feed a Cop" is replacing the horrible trend of pouring water/milk/??? on cops, or God forbid, shooting at them.

So far, I gave out about two dozens of In & Out Burger, Cheesecake Factory, and Burger King gift cards to CHP, LASD and CHP officers.

It is, in my mind, the best way to thank them for keeping us safe in a practical manner.

Cops and all other first responders should be protected and appreciated-something New York Police Department and the Major have not figured out yet.

Many thanks to New Orleans PD for their wonderful inititive--all major police departments should follow their lead-

Lets keep them safe, healthy, happy and fed!

The mystery for future generations?

Would be to figure out who, when and why was able to turn our, sometimes inefficient, but still the best health carING in the world into the current mangled health not carING.

Patients need doctors, nurses and hospitals to provide care, but they DON'T need managed care companies and other fiscal intermediaries.

Doctors, nurses, hospitals need patients to care for them, but they DON'T need managed care companies and other fiscal intermediaries.

Mangled health non carING companies DON'T care about patients, doctors, nurses, and hospitals, nor do they care about quality of quality of services provided. All they care about is their share of the health care  dollar they simply did not deserve.

That is why the anatomocal model of

current expensive, inefficient, and not caring mangled system looks like this.

It is ironic that mangled (aka managed) care devised by Clinton administrafion to control cost, failed miserably. In fact it became more expensive to provide care, and did not curtail current or future increases in expenditures.

Its about time we schedule this mangled syster for an emergency recto-cranial inversion.

In 1995, while serving as the President of National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP) I have come with "Dr.D. Laws of Managed Care".

 

Unfortunately for healthcare consumers and providers during the past 24 years the system transitioned from managed healthcare, to mangled NOTcarING. However, because of divergent, and frequently conflicting, core values and business interests of main shareholders, Dr.D's Laws are in force and effect:

 

1.If someone is already paying a lot, let him or her continue.

2.Even if a lot of people complain about quality of managed care, it won’t contain cost.

3.Never provide coverage unless the treatment is unpleasant.

4.Quality is being in a waiting room with people who earn more money than you are.

4.The recipients of care do not ask for it, do not order it and do not pay for it.

5.The payers do not ask for it, do not order it and do not receive it/

6.The orderers of care do not receive it and do not pay for it

To my dear friends, patients, colleagues, and valued clients:

It is with great sadness that after almost 45 years, I announce my retirement from a full time clinical practice effective immediately.

However, the change allows me to concentrate on the research, scientific issues, and medical investigative mythology of aging, chronic inflammation, chromic systemic illnesses, maintaining the quality of life for our rapidly aging population, myself included, leading, hopefully, to a graceful aging.

While I am going to concentrate on running the Naturopathic Evidence-based Institute (NEW™ Institute), I am still reachable via this site, or directly @ DrDorodny@gmail.com.

One of the Institute's new direction is to investigate, expose and debunk numerous medical/healthcare myths that can, and do, harm medical/healthcare consumers.
